Injury or No Injury? That is the Question - How Biomedical Engineering Can Be Used in Personal Injury Claims to Evaluate the Absence or Presence of An Injury Mechanism
During this session, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of key terms and methods used by Biomedical Engineers to investigate personal injury claims. Topics include incident severity, the human body’s response, and the tolerance levels used to determine the presence or absence of an injury mechanism. Application of these concepts to case studies, including automotive collisions, falling objects, and slip/trip/fall events, will provide attendees with the knowledge to critically analyze claims and make informed decisions. Speakers: Joseph Geissler, Ph.D, Senior Biomechanist, ARCCA |
